• When will the exchange take place?
    The first phase of the exchange, Uni Siegen students visiting Palestine will take place from February 22nd to March 22nd.
    The second phase of the exchange, Uni Birzeit students visiting Germany will take place around July.
  • Who can apply for the exchange?
    Every student of the University of Siegen and University of Birzeit is allowed to apply. Students that already took part in YALLAH exchange, won’t be allowed to take part again.
  • How much does participation cost?
    Travel and Housing expenses are covered by the DAAD-program „Hochschuldialog mit der islamischen Welt“. The program does not cover the food costs.
  • Where do the participating students live in Palestine?
    Participating students from Siegen will be staying in groups of 3-4 students in regular, private apartments.
  • Where do the participating students live in Germany?
    Participating students from Palestine will be staying in dormitories or pensions.
  • Will there be social activities as part of the exchange?
    Excursions and other social activities will be planned by the coordinators in collaboration with the participating students.
  • Is it safe to travel to Palestine?
    It is considered relatively safe to travel to the West Bank. However, the situation is constantly changing and the coordinators of the exchange keep an eye on the development of the situation. Nobody shall be endangered by his or her participation in the exchange. Participating students are encouraged to inform themselves about the current situation in Palestine.
